Our School Vision
At KWPS we have a clear vision for our school which is embodied in the following statements:

Our School Values
In school we have a core set of values which were agreed by the School Council following discussions with their peers, staff and Governors. We strive to embody these values in all we do.

These values are promoted with our children. Each half-term we focus on one of our school values and choose a weekly star from each class who has exemplified our values. These are highly sought after.
SMSC
At Kirkham & Wesham Primary School, we recognise that the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of our pupils is fundamental to their learning, wellbeing and success. We believe that developing the whole child is essential in enabling every pupil to achieve their full potential and become responsible, respectful and active members of society.
Through our vision of Belong, Believe, Be the Best You Can Be, we aim to provide an education that enables pupils to explore and develop their own values and beliefs, deepen their spiritual awareness, demonstrate high standards of personal behaviour and develop positive, caring relationships with others. We encourage pupils to understand and appreciate their local community, British society and the wider world, whilst celebrating diversity and respecting the beliefs, cultures and experiences of others.
At Kirkham & Wesham Primary School, SMSC development is a whole-school responsibility. Our values of Equity, Kindness, Pride, Responsibility, Honesty and Resilience underpin all aspects of school life and help create a nurturing environment in which pupils can thrive.
We take a whole-school approach to SMSC, recognising that every curriculum area makes a valuable contribution to pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. Opportunities to promote SMSC are carefully planned across the curriculum and enriched through assemblies, educational visits, enrichment activities, pupil leadership opportunities, community engagement and the wider life of the school.
